Optional add-on

Urgent Response, when you are far from home.

Add Urgent Response and, when your system is in Away mode and detects motion, you can reach a trained agent from the Rogers Xfinity app. They confirm who you are, assess the situation with you, and contact local authorities near your home if it is needed — even if you are in another province or another country.

Urgent Response is not professionally monitored home security, and is not a replacement for 9-1-1 in a life-threatening emergency.
It is designed for burglary or suspicious activity — not for fires or medical emergencies.
The agent can see sensor data and the zone that triggered, but cannot see your camera footage.
It requires a 24/7 Video Recording subscription with at least one camera, and works when your system is in Away mode.
Some municipalities require an alarm permit before authorities are dispatched. Permits and any false-dispatch fees are the homeowner’s responsibility.

No. Rogers Xfinity Self Protection is a self-monitored system: you receive the alerts and you decide what to do. Even the optional Urgent Response add-on is not professionally monitored home security, and it is not a replacement for 9-1-1 in a life-threatening emergency. If you specifically need a professionally monitored alarm contract, tell us and we will say so honestly rather than sell you the wrong thing.

A Rogers Xfinity Internet subscription with a compatible Rogers Xfinity Gateway, the free Rogers Xfinity app, and at least one Indoor/Outdoor Camera or Video Doorbell. The app requires roughly 3 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up to stream properly.

Rogers sets the pricing, and it moves with promotions, province and the devices you choose. Devices are rentals, and extra device rentals carry a monthly fee. Rather than publish a number that is wrong next month, we quote you live: your Telebridge agent confirms today’s rate and applies every discount you qualify for, including bundle savings with Internet or TV.

Up to six cameras and video doorbells can record 24/7 at the same time, and you choose which devices are active in the app. Footage is stored in the cloud for seven days and can be filtered by people, pets or vehicles. Sound recording is off by default and can be turned on per device.
